Gordon Ryan Set To Make Combat Jiu Jitsu Debut Against ADCC Medalist & UFC Vet Vinny Magalhaes

 

 

Some very interesting news – Gordon Ryan will be making his debut at slap jitsu – and against quite the name – Vinny Magalhaes.

Vinny Magalhaes is a bjj black belt who was the finalist in The Ultimate Fighter: Team Bogueira vs Team Mir and has fought 5 times with 2 stints in the UFC scoring an impressive gogoplata in one.

At the 2015 ADCC Tournament, Magalhães won the bronze medal in the 99 kg and over division. All his wins came by submission, including a twister against Rodrigo Artilheiro in the quarterfinals.

Ryan was previously set to duel Kevin Casey in cjj however after issuing a challenge and challenge being accepted Casey backed out.

This has lead to a specific challenge which EBI founder confirmed at JRE:

 

 “We don’t normally do superfights in EBI because I take all the purse money that we have available in our budget and we put it towards the winner take all in the tournament,” Bravo told Rogan. “We don’t have extra money for additional superfights, but this one, we had to figure out a way to make it happen.”
