Kevin Casey Backs Out Of Ryan CJJ Challenge

Kevin Casey Backs Out Of Ryan CJJ Challenge

Bellator Middleweight and BJJ black belt Kevin Casey – who once famously appeared in the most reviled music video of all time “G in a Gi” has- or shall we say had a unique challenge for Gordon Ryan.
He initially wrote: ” Let’s get a feature combat match me VS @gordonlovesjiujitsu (KING vs KING). See how solid his Jits is for real 🤔”

However once a sponsor was on the table the King Kevin Casey suddenly wasn’t interested:

So let’s get this straight…. Kevin Casey CHALLENGED ME to a combat jiu jitsu super fight. Then we have a sponsor offer $10,000 to the winner and Kevin Casey declined because he didn’t like the ruleset. Lmao how do you call someone out under a specific ruleset and then decline the match because you don’t like the ruleset. Hahaha hope you enjoyed your 5 minutes of fame you clown. Who else wants to have a combat jj super fight against me?

Ryan also shared some chosen words for Ergerth Santos (who also had a peculiar ruleset in mind) and the gi community:

First of all Thank you to @kasaigrappling for running one of the most professional grappling events out there. Can’t wait to be back on that stage. Thanks to @danaherjohn and @tomdeblass for making the trip out to coach. Thanks to @nathaliasantorobjj for always keeping me in shape and happy. Thanks you to the family for coming out to support as always as well as my constant support from all my sponsors. Also a huge congrats to @nick.ronan and @jasonraubjj89 for killing it yesterday as well as @ijoshhayden for making to the finals to fight jason. @garrytonon shows up for one last grappling competition before his mma debut and has some exciting matches but can’t score enough points to make the finals. Thank you @yurisimoesjj. You have accomplished more than I and It was an honor to compete against you once again. I’m looking forward to future matches as the years come. This was a good year end for me, Submitting ralek gracie, submitting all 4 opponents at ebi, and submitting yuri. On to no gi world’s to coach and then a strong start next year with gi and mma training. A message to @erberthsantos- Learn how to not tap to fake leg locks before asking to play with me, I’m on another level. Message to the gi community-be ready…. see you all next year.
