Gabi Garcia may have refocused onto her MMA career but she’s far from retired!

Garcia, soon to be 31, is 3-0 in mma having won 2 by submission and one via tko. Most recently she went up against an American football player Destanie Yarbrough at Rizin 2.

Gabi is determined she hasn’t left jiu-jitsu behind – she’s looking forward to competing in both gi and nogi in future. As she told tatame:

“All my fans ask me that question, and it’s hard for me I did not retire from Jiu-Jitsu, I never said,. ‘I will not fight Jiu-Jitsu” But for me to fight Jiu-Jitsu and being. world champion, I have to train a lot. So I’ll fight another World still in my life. I do not know if it will be now, next year, it will be two years from now. I am confirmed in ADCC, I received invitation I will devote myself. If I have MMA fight close, I see with my team as it will be, but for the ADCC will fight, already confirmed for them will be in Finland. I received an offer to fight in another cloth event, we are still studying, to January or February, but I still do not retired kimono. I love fighting Jiu-Jitsu, is something that has no better feeling for me. I love MMA, I’m very confident, I already feel at ease, but nothing like putting the kimono and train, but I’m not retired. I do not know if that’s good or bad news for my opponents, but I still will fight (laughs). I still want one more weight and absolute at the Worlds and I want that title ADCC next year, “said Gabi Garcia.

Garcia is one of the two fighters who have been publicly revealed to have received ADCC invites already – the other being Vinny Magalhaes.
