Over the past few days several athletes announced their joy over receiving an invitation for the prestigious ADCC 2017 Tournament set in Helsinki, Finland.
As the picture suggests, Gabi Garcia was among the first to rejoice. The two time winner of ADCC was ecstatic in spite of shifting focus on MMA. Gabrielle Garcia won bronze in ADCC 2015 but it’ll certainly be interesting to see how she performs given the immense transformation her body has undergone along with MMA shift.
Another competitor who received an invitation is Vinny Magalhaes. He is also undergoing some personal change as he chose to leave his old gym and form a new one.
ADCC opened to door to Trials registrations ahead of the 2017 event. 3 Trials have been set:
10th September ADCC Asia & Oceania Trials set in Almaty, Kazakhstan
1st October, 2016 European Trials in Mainz, Germany
19th November, 2016 North American Trials set in New Jersey, USA
