Erberth Santos To Represent Atos At Worlds 2017

 

 

The news has just broken that BJJ’s Bad Boy Erberth Santos will be representing a new team come Mundials 2017.

This means he’ll be having plenty of support – Atos is famously led by Andre Galvao and an assortment of big timers looking to support Santos through his quest to conquer the absolute.

Last year Santos lost in the finals of absolute to Marcus Almeida “Buchecha” in spite of conquering a huge hurdle by eliminating Bernardo Faria.

This means that since the beginning of his BJJ career, Erberth has trained under more than 5 teams. That places him in the group top team switchers, which includes Fenando Margarida, Mario Reis, Ary Farias and more..

Santos has been representing Almeida jiu-jitsu but have now left begind the Ryan Gracie relationship to fly the Atos flag. He told Graciemag :

“I am very happy with the partner of Almeida JJ with André Galvão team, Atos. This will greatly leverage the Jiu-Jitsu level Almeida JJ team as a whole, and I’m excited. Caio, Diogo Almeida and Gustavo are very friends Galvão, and that brought the union between the teams. I remind you that I am 100% Team Almeida Jiu-Jitsu team which advocate, and I will do my best to represent the flag of Atos team in international competitions”

Erberth Santos Leaves Guigo; Joins Team Ryan Gracie

As for what’s next for Santos he said that early in 2017 he’ll be joining Atos HQ in order to prepare alongside Galvao, Keenan Cornelius, JT Torres and others.

“I travel to California in early February, Galvão invited me to start the camp in order to gain weight and win absolute in the World 2017. .. I’ll lock myself in the gym there in the US to be prepared.
