Demian Maia worked and worked to get the coveted title shot against Tyron Woodley. Following Woodley’s lackluster performance Maia dusted off and quickly went forward hoping to earn his way back to the title shot.
However the Colby Covington match up perhaps wasn’t the most obvious match for Maia. Maia recently revealed that the biggest incentive for him to accept the match was the setting of UFC Fight Night – Sao Paolo, Maia’s hometown.
Maia recently explained what keeps him going and what his goals beyond the title are – the UFC welterweight is currently learning both French via the dua lingo app and music!
