Nate Diaz’s appearance on yesterday’s MMA hour caused quite a fuss. The respected fighter came to reveal to Ariel Helwani he feels like the 2nd fight against McGregor went to a him in a “company decision”
“For one, I never ever said I was waiting for a third fight with Conor McGregor. I never said that,” Diaz said (via MMA Fighting). “People think what they wanted and said that I wanted another fight with Conor. I already whipped Conor’s f–kin’ ass. He should want a fight with me. I gotta light a fire up under his ass?”
“The decision went to him because the company wanted it to go to him,” Nate said
Diaz echoed the sentiment of a fragment of the MMA community – however this is not a universal belief many respected personalities including Tristar’s Firas Zahabi discussed the decision in detail and came to side with the decision that was made.
Still Dana White didn’t take too kindly to Diaz’s words telling TMZ he or his brother may never fight again:
“If they want to fight next week or if they never want to fight again, that’s up to them. It’s not up to me,” White says.
“They don’t seem like they wanna fight … either one of them.”
