Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Police Reform Featured On HBO’s Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel

HBO’s Real Sports TV show with Bryant Gumbel released a trailer for their next episode, which has interviews with Gracie University’s Rener Gracie and Marietta Police Department Major Jake King in Marietta, Georgia.

Rener’s enthusiasm in the interview is reflected in the widespread success of the Gracie Survival Strategy (GST) program in the real world.

Rener stated:

“How does anyone expect an officer to take a violent, resisting person into custody if we don’t give them the tools to do so?” He answers his own question, “It’s common sense! If you’re asking me to do something, then teach me how to do it!”.

Tune in to Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel Tuesday 8/24 at 11pm (E/P) on HBO or HBO Max to watch.
