BJJ Cop Reacts To 15 Year Old Catching a Cop in a Guillotine

Footage has emerged of 15 year old high schooler putting a police officer in a guillotine choke from closed guard during an altercation that occurred in a high school in Gold Coast, Australia.

Police came to Merrimac High School because of a traffic incident and as they were leaving, a group of teens started insulting and yelling at them. One of the police officers started to reprimand one of the boys but he walked away, a scuffle ensued and the officer ended up in a guillotine choke in the teen’s closed guard.

So why are so few police officers willing to train Jiu-Jitsu in order to stay safe?

Mike the cop is as his name suggests a police officer and a BJJ purple belt. He discussed with Angelo, an OG bjj black belt the real reasons why he feels police officers are NOT training BJJ:

A healthy ego is good for confidence and keeping you and other safe. An unhealthy ego is dangerous and counterproductive. Maybe it’s not BJJ for you, but PLEASE train (especially if you’re a law enforcement officer)

Mike reacted to the 15 year boy’s guillotine on a cop with this video showing cops how to avoid the guillotine:
