Marcus Buchecha Names His Most ‘Feared’ Opponents in BJJ

Marcus Buchecha is in the final stages of recovery from knee surgery that has kep him away from Jiu-Jitsu competitions since May. About to return to training with and without the Gi, the BJJ star knows that he’s have to get back to his top form in order to overcome his fiercest rivals.

Buchecha has been in wars in recent years with the likes of Rodolfo Vieira, Andre Galvao, Leandro Lo, Braulio Estima, Leo Nogueira, Alexander Trans etc…

In an interview with TATAME, Buchecha listed those fighters who he fears the most.

“I have many opponents, but there are some guys that I get afraid of being submitted by. Nowadays there are just a few that cause me this feeling, because most want to go there, to tie the match and win by advantage, and I think this ends up being bad, both for me and for the sport, since few come to ‘do or die’.

Today I can name two that are Rodolfo Vieira and Leandro Lo, who are great athletes and I’m always meeting them in the semifinal or final tournaments.”
