You had a lot of success in the European Cup in 2014 with a gold medal in adult brown belt. What are the reasons for your success? Tell us about your preparation for competition.

Yes I was successful at the Europeans this year but to be honest I wasn’t expecting to do so well because I only received my brown belt in December 2013 and I managed to win the middle weight and come 2nd in the absolute . My preparation for the Europeans, I did a lot of sparrings for cardio and adjusted my positions.

How can you describe your style of BJJ?

I’m always trying to be complete and be well rounded. I work a lot on guard passes, throws, my guard so that I can be comfortable in any position.

What are the reasons for the success of the Cicero Costha Academy? What do you guys do different?

At the social project of Professor Cicero Costha, I think that we do a lot of drilling, we never spar relaxed, there is always a competition rhythm in training.

Tell us about your time spent in Europe and especially in Switzerland.

My time spent in Europe this year was pretty cool. I was in Germany to do 3 seminars then I went to Switzerland to visit some friends and train with them. It’s always good to see them again.
