Kron Gracie’s long awaited MMA debut of Kron Gracie in MMA will happen in August in Japan, as the fighter had already attempted in an interview with tatami, earlier this year . The Brazilian signed for Real Fight Championship, but still has no opponent set for its debut. The official announcement of the deal was with the presence of Rickson Gracie, father of young prodigy.

“I believe I’ll make my MMA debut this year, that’s my next step,” Gracie told Tatame Magazine. “I would move away from jiu-jitsu competitions for a while to focus on that. It’s a truer fight, there’s no guard… It’s you and another man going to war. It’s truer than jiu-jitsu.”

“I’m loving training MMA and get that vibe of the fight. I’m very motivated to fight, to face the guys who do not believe that Jiu-Jitsu can win in MMA. I’m here to show that Jiu-Jitsu is still the best martial art, “Kron said in an interview with tatame in January.”

According to sources within Kron Gracie’s academy in California, Rickson’s son could possibly be facing MMA fighter and striker Yuichiro Nagashima but nothing has been confirmed or signed yet.

Real Fight Championship will confirm the name of the opponent in the next few days.

Nagashima is not to be taken lightly as he owns a KO victory over Shinya Aoki under a mixed rules fight back in 2010.
