Europeans Day 4 Recap: Preguica & Barral Meet in Absolute Final

Day 4 of the 2016 European Championships has just ended. The black belt adult open weight had  a staggering 35 man bracket featuring big names such as Romulo Barral, Patrick Gaudio, Jackson Sousa, Gabriel Arges, Otavio Nalati, Erberth Santos, Marcio Andre, Felipe Pena, Josh Hinger, Diogo Moreno, and Alan Finfou.

Romulo Barral and Felipe Pena will meet in the finals on Sunday.

Both fighters had 4 tough matches where they incredibly submitted all of their opponents by choke.

In the semifinal, Barral defeated Jackson Sousa by choke while Pena choked out Erberth Santos in the last 20 seconds of the match, when the score was 6-2 for Pena.

It is highly unlikely that the two will face each other as Barral is like a big brother to Pena and they have been training together for years.

In the female division, Mackenzie Dern was unstoppable, submitting all 3 of her opponents in under 1:20mins. She will meet Andresa Correa in the final on Sunday.

In the male masters division, lightweight Theodoro Canal from GF Team won double gold in impressive fashion.

For the first time ever, there is a live streaming on Flograppling.com with multi mat technology and live commentating of the IBJJF 2016 European Championships .
