UFC FIGHT PASS® announced today that the world’s greatest digital destination for fight fans has added Brazilian jiu-jitsu to its ever-expanding live event offering.
FIGHT PASS, UFC’s digital streaming service, is now the home of Eddie Bravo Invitational events (EBI).
Eric Winter, UFC Senior Vice-President and UFC FIGHT PASS General Manager, made the announcement this afternoon at a UFC media event in Los Angeles.
Winter said:
“We are proud to announce our new partnerships with the GLORY kickboxing and EBI Brazilian jiu-jitsu organizations. This is a huge development for FIGHT PASS. We haven’t just added some kickboxing and some BJJ to FIGHT PASS – we partnered with leaders in both sports. GLORY has established itself as the pinnacle of world kickboxing while EBI leads the way in exciting, fast-paced submission grappling. Both of these organizations are tremendous additions to FIGHT PASS.”
Live EBI will be on tap for FIGHT PASS customers in April. GLORY and EBI join Invicta FC, Pancrase, Victory FC, Shooto Brazil, Titan FC, BRACE MMA and EFN as FIGHT PASS live event content partners.
Eddie Bravo’s exciting submission only Jiu-Jitsu invitational has added some major stars for its 6th event which is now re-scheduled to held in Los Angeles on April 24th.
Major names such as ADCC champions Andre Galvao, Vinny Magalhaes, Roberto Cyborg Abreu, Yuri simoes and Dean Lister will be competing in a 16 man absolute division tournament where the winner can win a possible 50,000$. They will be joined by EBI lightweight champions Garry Tonon and Eddie Cummings, and all DJ Jackson. More big names are expected to be announced over the next few days.
One thing for sure, with such a big cash prize, the event will attract the elite of Jiu-Jitsu.
This is a big step for EBI, the fastest growing Jiu-Jitsu invitational, and this time they hit big with more than double the usual cash prize of 20,000$.
It will be the first time EBI offers an Absolute division. The winner takes all and could earn $50k. The tournament winner gets paid $12,500 for each submission in regulation and $0 for submissions in OT.
Bravo confirmed the news on his Instagram:
