The third day of the Pans saw black belts battling out in the open weight.
After the dust has cleared, two names have emerged out of the rumble: Bernardo Faria will be facing Leandro Lo this Sunday in the open weight final.
Both Faria and Lo had 4 matches to reach the finals.
Bernardo Faria first submitted Daniel Cobb, outpointed AJ Agazarm 21-7, then in the quarter final, he defeated 2014 Pan Super Heavy champion Luiz Panza 9-4. He then met Alexander Trans in the semi final where he won by 2-0 against the Dane.
Leandro Lo also had some battles. He submitted Yuto Hirao, outpointed James Puopolo 13-0. In the quarter final, he met the dangerous Yuri Simões and was able to defeat him with a sweep.
In the semifinal he faced the much bigger Leonardo Nogueira ( Nogieira had defeated Keenan Cornelius 2-0 before that). Lo beat Nogueira by one sweep.
In the female division, Mackenzie Dern will once again face Gabi Garcia in the final on Sunday.
Mackenzie defeated Tammy Griego and Gabi Garcia submitted Luiza Monteiro in the semifinals.
