World Pro Friday Action Recap: Victor Estima Shines, Rodolfo & Gabi Dominate

The World Professional Abu Dhabi has reached its penultimate day of struggles on Friday in the United Arab Emirates, and the black belt finals are now set. The champions will be crowned today and Saturday will be devoted entirely to the absolutes in all belts.

The highlight of the black belts in the morning was Victor Estima. Settled in Britain along with his brother Braulio, the athlete went through his first three matches beating Tarsis Humphreys and submitting Claudio Calasanas in in the semis. Rodolfo Vieira also shined, finishing first and beating Roberto Tussa 11 × 0 in his semi.

The other finals bring up old rivalries, as another meeting between Augusto Tanquinho and Rubens Cobrinha happens in -70kgs. In +100 division, Marcus Buchecha enters the mat with his teacher Rodrigo Cavaca. In one of the most anticipated match, André Galvão clashes with Romulo Barral.

Among women, Gabi Garcia continued her domination in her category, and Bia Mesquita makes it to another final at weight against Luanna, after beatig Luiza Monteiro in the semifinal. Among the lighter weights, Michelle Nicolini will face Mackenzie Dern.
