The fight was predominantly under McCann’s control; showcasing her dominance with powerful ground strikes before transitioning into the match-decisive Armbar.
Additionally, with this win McCann has bounced back from a two-fight losing streak – improving her UFC record to 7-5.
For Belbita, this defeat adds to a challenging phase, as it marks her third loss in her last four fights (and her second defeat by McCann).
Their first encounter, a flyweight bout at UFC Boston in October 2019, ended in McCann’s favor via unanimous decision.
