Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is getting more and more popular among the Hollywood A list celebrities. Famous people that train or have trained in BJJ include Ashton Kutcher, Prince Jackson (son of Michael Jackson), Marlon Wayans, Freddie Prinze Jr, Shaquille O’neal, Paul Walker, Scott Caan etc.. The list goes on and on.
Canadian born actress and model Ashiko Westguard has joined the list and has been training with AJ Agazarm.
She was born in Newmarket, Ontario. As a model Ashiko has been featured in massive campaigns for Honda, Garnier, L’Oreal, Lancome, Dita Von Teese Lingerie, Triumph, Nivea, Coca Cola, Revlon, Nike, Redkin and many other household name brands.
As an actress, she guest starred as Beverly on Syfy’s Leo Award winning action-packed drama series “Painkiller Jane,” and landed a role on the series “Kaya”. She land ed a major role as Eve in the sci-fi crime thriller “A Dark Matter” directed by James Naylor (“Under the Bridge”).
Having spent many years modeling internationally she now resides in Los Angeles. Ashiko has studied acting with renowned Canadian teacher David Rotenberg whom she considers a mentor.
