Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu Promoted To 5th Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt

Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu, a well-known BJJ competitor and the founder of “Fight Sports”, has recently achieved a significant milestone…
As he has been promoted to 5th degree BJJ black belt!

He was promoted by Alexandre Pimentel:

9 Years on the black belt division Fully dedicated to the art. 13 World Titles.
Over 250 Black Belts Graduated from my hands and Thousands of students world wide.

Extremely Grateful for such beautiful journey so far and ready for so much more.

Cyborg’s journey in BJJ has been marked by consistent successes since he first received his black belt in 2004.
His career spans impressive performances in both gi and no-gi competitions, with his most notable successes having been achieved in the no-gi arena.

His skill and dedication have kept him at the forefront of major tournaments like the ADCC and the IBJJF No-Gi World Championship for more than ten years.
And, despite a setback in 2022 – when Abreu was stripped of his 8th IBJJF No-Gi World Championship title due to a failed PED test, resulting in a three-year ban from IBJJF competitions – he continues to compete against top grapplers in various promotions.

He has also expressed his determination to return to the IBJJF tournament post-suspension, aiming to match Caio Terra‘s record of 10 titles.
