To prove that the rivalry between Luta Livre and Jiu-Jitsu is a thing of the past, the famous RFT academy of Rio de Janeiro, the traditional stronghold of Luta Livre, will welcome BJJ legend Ricardo De la Riva for a No Gi seminar on October 11th in Rio de Janeiro.

RFT leader Marcio Cromado had this to say to Tatame Magazine:
“Rafael Bernardo, our Jiu-Jitsu black belt is from De la Riva. It was he who gave us the idea of the seminar. It is logical to accept. It is an honor to receive this legend of Jiu-Jitsu in our academy. I think it will be the first time he will give a seminar at a gym that carries the banner of Luta Livre “
