ONE Fight Night 12: Garry Tonon Taps Out Shamil Gasanov With A Kneebar

Garry Tonon has put on yet another entertaining show for MMA fans all around the world, at ONE Fight Night 12.
He fought against the undefeated Shamil Gasanov in the final mixed martial arts match of the night – and won via submission!

Gasanov, who was 13-0 going into the fight, punished Tonon for pulling guard early in the match with severe knees to the head.
Tonon tried his best to avoid as many strikes as possible and managed to get back up to his feet.

The second round started with Tonon throwing three high kicks, all blocked by his opponent.
Gasanov then took him down… But both fighters got back to their feet and Tonon pulled guard, attacking the Kneebar – and getting the tap!

Watch the submission on the video below:

Tonon is now 8-1 in MMA and was awarded with a bonus of $50,000 for his performance.
Here’s what Tom DeBlass had to say about his performance:

There has never been a submission grappler in the history of MMA that has been as dangerous as Garry Lee Tonon when it comes to catching a submission.

As long as he’s breathing, he can submit you.
