Nate Diaz Contemplates UFC 300 Return: “There’s Nobody To Fight”

As the UFC gears up for its 300th event next year, the talk around former lightweight title contender Nate Diaz’s potential return is getting louder and louder.

Diaz, who has been a significant figure in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions, left the UFC in November last year after fulfilling his contract.
His last appearance in the UFC was at the headline event of UFC 279 in September – where he faced Tony Ferguson, a former interim lightweight champion. Diaz secured a victory with a fourth round Guillotine Choke.

Then, Diaz ventured into professional boxing, facing Jake Paul in August.
The bout, held in Texas, ended in a unanimous decision defeat for Diaz.

And recently, Diaz got the fight fans guessing – by hinting at a comeback on his social media.
He has acknowledged the appeal of a UFC 300 appearance…

But there’s a problem, at least in his mind: the lack of a suitable opponent.
Diaz shared his thoughts via social media:

UFC 300 would be tight but there’s nobody to fight.

However, one of the people that responded to the post was none other than Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier, saying:

5 rounds

Which would, for sure, make for a very interesting fight!
