Marcelo Garcia Back To Training BJJ After Cancer Treatment: “It Feels Great”

Yes, it’s official…
Marcelo Garcia is back to training Jiu-Jitsu – after a 11-month hiatus, caused by cancer diagnosis and treatment!

Garcia shared the awesome news via social media:

So, finally the day has come… It has been 11 months, almost a year, since I don’t train Jiu-Jitsu.

I’m just excited to see how everything is gonna go, I hope to get back to as normal as possible, I just can’t wait.

Garcia then trained and felt amazing after:

I just finished my first training since everything happened this year, since all of the stuff is going on.
Finally I was able to start training, after I took the port out of my chest, and it felt amazing.

I feel so thankful for being able to come back and do Jiu-Jitsu.
And, obviously, my mind is still racing to be able to know that I’m going to be able to train normally again… It feels great.

Thank you everybody who supported me this year, thank you everybody who was by my side…
I can’t wait to come back and do more training, to train with everybody that I have a chance.

And now I feel (like I’m back to) normal life.
It’s been too long. I’m very thankful.
