Gordon Ryan Wins Double Gold at IBJJF No Gi Pan & Issues Message To Haters

Gordon Ryan’s gi voyage has long been under a magnifying glass. Former EBI champ and ADCC champion has announced a gi transition almost a year ago and we have yet to see him compete. HE recently signed up for NoGi Pans in an attempt to stay active competing.

Ryan announced the news on his instagram stories that he won double gold at the 2018 by defeating all his opponents. In the final  of the ultra heavyweight, he submitted Max Gimenis of GF Team by rear naked choke. Ryan was up 4 points before the submission and he also made it a point to underline that he scored two takedowns. In his first round match he defeated Charles McGuire by submission.

He also registered for the open class and defeated all his opponents including Atos prodigy Kaynan Duarte:

Unf*ckwitable. All submissions. Thank you to all the family and friends who came out to support and stayed the entire day. I know it was a long day. Special shout to @kycerm for taking time out of his day to come coach me In the standing position and @garrytonon for coaching me on the ground. Thanks @heysonnyy for pushing me every day to near death in the gym and always having food ready for me to shove into my mouth. And of course to @danaherjohn for showing me everything I know. Theres a reason I submit all the best guys, and its because of him.
