Gordon Ryan signed with ACB Jiu Jitsu a while back. But while we’re all curious about his newly honed gi skills we’ll be delighted to see him show his best nogi game in the ACB 13 card. He has declared his goals to be a black belt world champion in the Gi.
ACB JJ 13 will be taking place May 5th in Long Beach, California.
Before that Gordon Ryan will make his grand return in Gi competition on April 7th & 8th, 2018 in Hyattsville, USA at the IBJJF Washington Spring Open.
Some people, usually newbies, question ADCC champion Gordon Ryan’s credentials in the Gi. Although he has spent more time training and competing in No Gi grappling, his Gi game is still SOLID.
Ryan is undoubtedly a skilled grappler as evidenced by his ADCC medals. However there are significant guard differences between nogi and gi so it will be interesting to see how Gordon does in his future gi duels.
The ACB card is set to feature:

As usual Ryan has been working on muscle mass
One interesting tidbit about Magalhaes is that he is famed for his hyperflexibility and as such should be hard to finish via heel hook.
Sloth Jiu-Jitsu: you can be slow and unathletic and still kick butt in Jiu-Jitsu.
