Donald Cerrone Shares Honest Take On Power Slap: “Not Even I Would Do This”

In a recent appearance at Dana White’s “Power Slap” event in Las Vegas, UFC Hall of Famer Donald Cerrone offered a unique perspective on the controversial sport.

In his typical way, “Cowboy” shared his thoughts on the event:

I love it.

This is, like, if you just want to watch knockout, knockout, knockout, and hear CTE brain damage, this is the event.

Cerrone added, laughing:

Not even I would do this.

The Nevada Athletic Commission’s had decided to license slap fighting back in October 2022…
A move that was later on regretted by former chairman Stephen Cloobeck, as he said in an interview with The Associated Press:

I made a mistake. I’m not happy about it.

White has so far been unfazed by those who criticize the event nevertheless:

It doesn’t matter what your opinions are of this.
This has been going on for 10 years unregulated.

And what the athletic commission does is they come in and oversee it, and they make sure all the health and safety precautions are in place, that everybody’s abiding by it and doing what they’re supposed to do.

These unregulated events are going on all over the world.
