Dana White On Conor McGregor’s Return To UFC: “We’re Talking”

Conor McGregor, absent from the octagon since his leg injury in the UFC 264 bout against Dustin Poirier in July 2021, has openly expressed his frustration with the UFC – because they are, in his eyes, hindering him from his return to fighting.

And, well, UFC President Dana White has recently revealed – in an Instagram Live chat session – that there are ongoing discussions with “The Notorious”:

I talked to Conor today. I’m in Abu Dhabi right now, Conor’s in Dubai. We talked tonight.
He and I will get something figured out soon. We’re talking.

Despite not being active in the ring, McGregor’s potential match-ups have been an exciting speculation topic – especially the fight against Michael Chandler.
However, no official announcement has been made regarding McGregor’s next opponent.

And no, there is no clear indication whether McGregor will be a part of the UFC 300:

I did announce the fights. UFC 300, I told you, there’s more coming this week.
You guys are so aggressive.

There will be more fights for 300 announces this week. Not just — yeah, just 300.
I’ll have a bunch more this week for 300 to let you guys in on.

Not the main event. I won’t have the main event yet.
Waiting on the main event.
