Having already established a reputation for himself in submission grappling, Anderson’s switch to MMA does feel like a natural progression.
For instance, his skill level (and MMA potential) was highlighted in 2022, when he achieved the first knockout in Combat Jiu-Jitsu history.

He also trains Muay Thai and has had his amateur MMA debut in early 2023.
Though many expected him to lean on his grappling background, Damien opted for a different strategy; displaying his improved striking skills, he secured a knockout win in just over a minute!

Anderson is also the founder of the first B-Team affiliated gym, in New Jersey. And he is still one of the most prominent B-Team Jiu-Jitsu members, well-respected for his diverse skillset.

So, it goes without saying…
That Anderson’s professional MMA debut is going to be an exciting one!

There’s no news so far on who his opponent will be. However, given that he was signed to Fury FC for his amateur career, it appears that he will keep on competing in that promotion!
