Two-time world BJJ champion, Bernardo Faria fought several battles to achieve his career goals. On his road to the podiums of the main competitions of Jiu-Jitsu, he won and lost to big names. At the request of tatame magazine, he listed the five most difficult opponents in his career.
1 – Rodolfo Vieira
He is probably the one I fought more than twice and never won. I’ve done a lot of fights with him and have lost in every way (laughs). I have lost the decision, advantage, missing 40 seconds, by many points, was submitted and still never beat him (laughs).
2 – Marcus Buchecha
No doubt he is the best of today. I’ve been meeting with him in all absolutes since 2010, and is always a very tough fight.

3 – Antonio Braga Neto
I’ve struggled a lot with him since I was a juvenile.
4 – Rafael Lovato Jr.
We were both in the same category (heavy), and I did many fights with him too. Fights were always very hard.
5 – Xande Ribeiro
I did my first Worlds final against him, so I’m sure to never forget. But he’s one of the guys who most inspires me to have a simple, complete and super efficient Jiu-Jitsu. Without doubt he is one of the greatest competitors in the history of Jiu-Jitsu.
