The 2015 world championship will be held from May 27-31 in Long Beach, California.
It will be the first time ever where only black belts that have acquired a minimum of 5opts from the IBJJF competition circuit, will be allowed to compete. The exception is made for forme black belt world champions.
When looking at the rankings today, 179 male black belt athletes are over the 50pts limit. There are also 62 female black belt competitors.
