World Famous Chef Credits Judo With Professional Success

The owner of two Michelin star restaurant and popular author Thierry Marx maintains the secret ingredient to his success. He told cnn:

“Judo, like cooking, involves the mastering of gestures … the mastering of time, It also teaches the “capacity to remain serene even in the most stressful moments”.”

The famous chef has a passion for both Japanese sport and cuisine. He also credits Judo for offering him an out:

“I was very bad at school, I failed a lot and we were in a very poor neighborhood,” he says. “Judo was free, so I dreamed of Japanese films and Japanese sports.”

Today with his coach Benoit Campargue (former European Champion and Teddy Riner coach) he’s hoping to introduce more people to the sport through the Passport for employment program.

This initiative includes 3 month courses for the unemployed that aims to help them get work as security officers.
