Cain Velasquez might’ve been strategic about his media appearances – ultimately resulting with him being forced out of the Werdum fight at UFC 207. The pay per view lost a strong heavyweight draw. However Werdum and UFC couldn’t get on the same page about a replacement.
Today, Werdum is sharing his texts. He reportedly offered to face another opponent for 500.000$ in addition to the pay per view points.
His manager previously claimed he had accepted the fight with Junior Dos Santos but the fight ended up never finalizing.
And White stated that Werdum asked for 800k earlier today during media scrum.
Truthfully Werdum has had a contentious relationship with UFC for a while now – earlier this winter he was suspended from tv duties due to his reebok comments.
