Kayla Harrison has had a lot of challenges along the way but just yesterday she won her 2nd Olympic gold in Judo, the 2nd ever gold for team USA. Prior to her success, only Jimmy Pedro, current USA coach had 2 Olympic judo medals. One time roommate of Ronda Rousey is expected to retire following these Olympic games and slowly transition into MMA.
“Obviously, MMA is something that I’m considering,” Harrison told SBNation. “It could potentially be a very lucrative career for me, but at this point, my focus is just on the tournament on August 11. Then, maybe a beach somewhere here in Rio for a couple of days, and then I’ll make some big decisions.”
