BJJ champions and certified stars Rodolfo Vieira and Bruno Malfacine were triumphant at yesterdat’s Shooto Brazil 74 card.
Held over this past Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil it featured some of the most exciting jiu-jitsu MMA prospects.
And they didn’t disappoint- scoring submission victories.
Vieira took on a late replacement Fagner Rackchal. Rackchalentered the bout wiht a bit more experience and a 2-3 pro record. Vieira was not as smooth as in his first time and had to dig a little further to secure a victory.
He was even taunted by Rackchal after his takedown was successfully stuffed. Vieira was adamant on going for takedowns and in round 2 after the initial struggle he had a good armbar attempt but Rackchal defended once more.
In the end Rackchal followed the same strategy in the final round but Vieira got him down and tired him out with punches before securing an arm triangle that got the tap with only 13 seconds left in the fight.
Malfacine had less of a struggle as he was able to finish with an armbar within 90 seconds of his debut.
