USA Athletes Will Be Able To Represent Country At UAEJJF World Championship

It’s been a year of interesting changes for bjj. After introducing the maximum weight limit UAEJJF is offering further space for change that can reshape the landscape of grappling as we know it.

According to bjj heroes US athletes will have the opportunity to represent their country as a unified national team at the World Championship.

United States Jiu-jitsu Association and Storm Kimonos made an exclusive agreement where Storm will supply uniforms to all U.S. National Team members. Dean Thompson, owner of Storm Kimonos, believes in this project and has taken a personal interest in supporting the U.S. National Team.

The athletes will of course be free to compete as individuals if they choose to give the USA Squad position a pass. But in turn – doing so they will lose the benefits earned at their respective trials, meaning they will have to pay for their own expenses (flight/accommodation/entry fee).
