During the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 6, a series of thrilling no-gi super fights captivated the audience.
The event kicked off with an intense match between Ronaldo Junior and Kody Steele. Ronaldo took early control with a strategic sweep and was close to securing Steele’s back, leading to a nail-biting judge’s decision, the first of the night, in this closely fought contest.
Another highlight of the night was Victor Hugo’s remarkable performance, where he submitted ADCC medalist Roosevelt Sousa in less than four minutes. Following his victory, Hugo called out Nicholas Meregali.
A standout ten-minute match saw Mason Fowler triumph over Pedro Marinho with an arm triangle, following a successful conversion of a single leg takedown into points during overtime. Post-match, Fowler called out Nick Rodriguez.
Nicholas Meregali once again proved his prowess in no-gi competition by defeating ADCC Champion Matheus Diniz. Dominating the match, Meregali secured the top position and ultimately won with a rear naked choke. After his victory, he confidently proclaimed himself as the sport’s best and called out Craig Jones and Nick Rodriguez.
Nicky Rodriguez also claimed a notable victory, overcoming IBJJF World No-Gi Absolute Champion Roberto Jimenez by leveraging arm drags and a body triangle in the overtime phase.
The main event was a swift and decisive battle where Craig Jones of the B-Team claimed victory over BJJ legend Rafael Lovato Jr. with an inside heel hook submission in just over a minute. Jones’s aggressive approach and skillful targeting of the legs earned him a rapid and impressive win.
