Is Paulo Miyao Getting Another 2 Year Suspension from IBJJF?

Paulo Miyao tried to skirt rules once again as he signed up for UWW Grappling World Championship representing Brazil.

However in doing that he appears to have sidetracked his own career, smeared the reputation of UWW grappling and may have even cost his own brother a suspension.

A closer look into the rulebook of World Antidoping Agency that covers the UWW reveals that by refusing to adhere to the rules of the suspension the athlete in question gets his original suspension attached to the date he tried to compete.

According to the rules any athlete, coach or training partner is also likely to be suspended:

Over the weekend Miyao issued a lackluster apology telling flograppling:

“This weekend I went to participate in the UWW World Championship, but unfortunately I could not fight due to the doping test two years ago at the IBJJF World Championship. I apologize to UWW for believing that my punishment was only valid for IBJJF championships.”
