NoGI Worlds 2016 Final Scores: Yuri Simoes Triumphs, Josh Hinger Surprises

2nd day of NoGi Worlds featured quite a bit of excitement. All attention was focused on the lightweight division – one of the biggest divisions in the entire tournament.

It featured AJ Agazarm, Marcio Andre, Gianni Grippo, Mansher Khera, Tanquinho, Enrico Cocco and others but Andre managed to assert his domination in quite a fashion.

Today I became the @ibjjf Adult Black Belt Medium Heavy Weight Nogi World Champion. I couldn’t have done it without my Professor @galvaobjj for pushing me, inspiring me, and motivating me everyday. My girlfriend @dawnadoyawanna who pushes me to fight as hard as I can and as often as I can, and who deals with my senseless crap when I’m tired, hungry, and grumpy. My teammates @atosjiujitsuhq who are the baddest, meanest, toughest, grindiest, hungriest, most talented and dedicated bunch of mo’fo’s to step foot into a training room. They frustrate me beyond belief everyday and they make me question what the hell I’m doing with myself. But they keep me on the path towards success and I love them to death. Thank you @doordie for always being behind me and supporting my journey. Last but not least, I thank my parents for always believing in me and supporting me unconditionally. I love you guys. #NOGIWORLDCHAMPION #atosjiujitsu #atos #doordie #hyperfly #ycth #jiujitsu #bjj #guillotine #hingertine #nogi
