Nick Rodriguez proposed a match against his former teammate Gordon Ryan with $100,000 at stake, an offer which Ryan declined.
Nick Rodriguez continues seeking a third match against Gordon Ryan, a previous teammate from the Danaher Death Squad, however, he has had little success securing this bout.
On Sunday at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 5, Rodriguez had a stellar performance in his match against reigning ADCC absolute champion Yuri Simoes, winning by points.
Following his match, Rodriguez proposed a bout against Ryan where they would each contribute $50,000 to the prize.
After the event, Ryan spoke to the media and addressed Rodriguez’s challenge. The multiple-time ADCC champion declined the proposed match:
“Nicky Rod and that whole team make their career off soundbites from me so, no comment. Not interested in that at all.”
Ryan has already defeated Rodriguez in competition and is focused on facing Mason Fowler next.
