MMA Match Ends In Bizarre Tapout

When heavyweight veterans face off you know you’re in for a ride. This was the case with heavy duty veterans – and when we say veterans we really mean it – there’s more than 400 professional fights between these two.

The two in question are Johnathan IVey and TRavis Fulton and the competition in question is Colosseum Combat 45.

Now here’s the tricky part, after Fulton landed a big body kick Ivey briefly acted as though he was having chest pain before going on the offensive. Big John promptly dropped his opponent and proceeded to beat the living crap out of him from the top position.

Fulton defended himself enough to avoid a stoppage and eventually Ivey gave up on the offense.

What went on next is a tad unbelievable – Ivey stands up from Fulton’s guard and walks away and taps the mat to signal defeat?!

“He doesn’t want to hurt him anymore, is that what happened here?” says one of the announcers calling the fight. “Or is he hurt? He didn’t want to continue.”

5x World BJJ champion Bernardo Faria has developed the No Gi Half Guard. His submissions and sweeps works just as easily for No Gi, if not easier.
1.In No Gi there are not as many grips you can play. For example, you can’t play spider guard and the whole array of guards that stem from it. His guard works perfectly.
2.There are not a lot of grips your opponent can use to stop your sweep while playing No Gi. They can’t grab your collar, sleeve or pants obviously. Again, his guard works perfectly.
