The earnings for the boxing fight of the year have been speculated ever since the match was first proposed. The negotiations included the UFC, McGregor and Mayweather, and the details are just now coming out.
“The Notorious” will pull in $30 million disclosed for his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather per the Nevada Athletic Comission leaked document.
Mayweather will be taking home 100$ million. A welcome bonus given his tax trouble.
Both McGregor and Mayweather will both make much more than those purses in total. McGregor has said he’ll make upwards of $100 million for the bout, while Mayweather has floated that he could make $300 million.
Prior to this McGregor’s biggest cheque was 3$ million dollars for the Nate Diaz rematch at the same location. However this may not be definitive as McGregor’s purse for Eddie Alvarez bout was not disclosed by the New York State Athletic Comission.
