Royler Gracie needs little introduction. The son of Gracie jiu-jitsu co-founder Helio Gracie Royler has always been an avid competitor, winning the World Championships, PanAmericans and the prestigious ADCC World Submission Wrestling Championships. Along with his brother Rolker, Royler now heads the Gracie Humaita association, one of the most respected and trophied competition teams in the world.
In this video, Royler shares his thoughts and feelings about the importance of competition and describes how his father Helio Gracie helped foster the competitive spirit in his sons. He also explains how his goals in jiu-jitsu have changed with age and how jiu-jitsu continues to improve and affect his life after 47 years in the game.
