Made it Look Easy. Khamzat Chimaev Manhandling a Bellator MMA Fighter

If we talk about specialists in Brazilian jiu jitsu who are currently triumphing in the UFC , surely one of the first names that comes to mind is that of Gilbert Burns (along with Charles Oliveira and former title contender -now retired from MMA- Demian Maia ).

” Durinho” has proven to be one of the best fighters in that department in MMA: he has eight submissions in twenty victories, that is, almost 50%.

However, at this time, Gilbert Burns is facing a formidable challenge: Khamzat Chimaev who recently filmed himself in a training session and, during it, we could observe how he manhandled another professional fighter with overwhelming ease .

Is there something Chimaev does wrong when it comes to fighting…? We will have to find out.

As can be seen in the clip, Khamzat Chimaev faces professional Bellator fighter Kane Mousah and manages to prevail with applause-worthy superiority. The Chechen isn’t yet a jiu-jitsu black belt, but he’s a wrestling expert nonetheless (he learned the discipline in his native Chechnya, then went on to win national championships in his adopted home, Sweden).

In fact, Chimaev already had the chance to face another jitsu master, like Gerald Meerschaert (UFC Fight Night), and he knocked him out in 17 seconds!

This time (the one in the video), however, looks more overwhelming since he beats a professional and precisely in his field: that of submissions.

The “war” that everyone wants to see! Gilbert Burns-Khamzat Chimaev is happening on April 9…

Here is a longer video where you can see more of him grappling for the 3:30 min mark:
