Lesnar Flagged For Doping, Mark Hunt Wants Half of His Money

Brock Lesnar has been flagged for a potential doping violation late Thursday night by the USADA (US Anti-doping Agency).

Apparently one of the tests he took prior to UFC 200 notes a potential violation. UFC says USADA learned of the potential violation late Thursday night, 5 days after the fight.

Mark Hunt has been very vocal since before the fight, especially given that Lesnar was granted an exemption since any fighter fighting in the UFC has to be available for testing in the 4 months prior to scheduled match.

Hunt is furious, and rightly so, but he’s also demanding half of Lesnar’s 2.5 million dollars (plus percentage of the pay per view take).

Hunt said in a statement to tmz.com:

“This is the third time I’ve had to fight a cheater in my career. The other two times I didn’t ask for compensation, but this is the third time and I’m sick of them getting away with cheating.”

If he doesn’t get Brock’s cash, Hunt says he wants out of his UFC deal. “I’ve told Dana that I want a release from the UFC if they don’t sort this out.”

It’s interesting to note Lesnar didn’t notify UFC/USADA of his retirement so he might’ve had plans to continue fighting in the UFC post Summerslam.

Lesnar joins a growing list of fighters flagged by USADA including Mirko CroCop Filipovic, Frank Mir, Jon Jones, Ricardo Abreu and others.
