Exciting news coming from Chekmat HQ. Leo Vieira has decided to return to competing. He is the eldest of the Vieira brothers (Ricardo and Leandro), who lead and fight for Checkmat.
Leo Vieira has 2 ADCC golds and 2 silver medals from 2003,2005,2007 and 2011. He is also a 1999 IBJJF world champion.
Vieira will compete at the ACBJJ tournament – aka Berkut GP, at 65 kg. This will be the first tournament Leo Vieira competes at with the gi since his appearance at the Budo Challenge back in 2005 according to bjjheroes.com.
