Jiu-Jitsu Instructor Passed Away During Training

Several days after the news of a bjj practitioner who had a heart attack during training comes the upsetting news of Zach Stewart’s passing.

Those whose lives Stewart touched are deeply saddened by the tragedy

A gofundme has been started for his young family. The campaign bio reads:

Zach Stewart tragically passed away at 35 years old while training at his gym Precision Jiu-Jitsu Spring Mount of an unknown previous medical issue. He leaves behind a family of a wife and two sons, Harrison age 2 and Everett 2 months old.

A BJJ school owner and former wrestler, Zach was also a beloved Spanish teacher at Spring-Ford High School. His humor and passion were evident to all who had the please of learning from him in school or on the mat.

This fund is meant to help raise money for his sons’ future college funds as well as help to establish a scholarship for a Spanish student at Spring Ford, the high school where he taught
