Rafael Lovato Jr is the latest in the long line of prestigious guests of Grappling Central Podcast!
This isn’t Rafael’s first interview with GCP but it was a unique opportunity to discuss new landmarks in Lovato Jr‘s MMA career and Sub Only Victory against Roberto Abreu “Cyborg” at Fight To Win Pro.
Lovato Jr is 3-0 in MMA. He discussed the match against Marcelo Nunes at Legacy Fighting Championship 54 that ended in TKO. This was the first fight where Rafael Lovato Jr was on his back in a new setting!
Rafael Lovato Jr also looks back to his first meeting with Cyborg and their roads through the years. In addition to all this he discusses gaining 10 lbs for the match with Cyborg which was a huge change from his usual cutting.
Later on in the interview, they discuss how the success of his students continues to be a huge motivating factor. Another topic? How much can an instructor rely on seminars to provide income and balancing the fun and friendship with monetary motivations when holding seminars.
