Grappling Central Podcast Interviews Jeff Curran

Grappling Central Podcast is arguably the best bjj themed podcast out there with a number of exciting guests as well as grappling with serious topics. And the latest episode of Grappling Central Podcast is out.

This time, host Ryan Ford, had the pleasure of talking to 4th degree BJJ Black Belt Jeff Curran. Jeff Curran also had a lucrative career as an MMA fighter and competed in most of the promotions out there. His MMA record stands at 36-17-1 (win-lose-draw).

In this episode you can hear a little bit about Curran’s latest promotion as well as his experiences training with Megaton Dias, Carlson Gracie, Carlson Gracie Jr and Pedro Sauer. Jeff hasn’t shied away from discussing his once conflicted relationship to Dias or on which parts of the old school cross training philosophy he still fosters.

Curran’s MMA experience was another chapter in the interview and he openly discussed which MMA promotion was his favorite, shared anecdotes about the toughest fight of his career and a unique approach to weightcutting.

Later on he defined what it means to be a Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu and what his preferred methodology of teaching is.
