Gordon Ryan is, arguably, the greatest BJJ no-gi athlete of all time. But, even though he earned that title and the successes that go with it, he didn’t do it alone.
He had the support from people who mattered most. Including his long-time girlfriend, Nathalia Santoro.
Ryan opened up in a recent social media post:
There are many people and things in my life that the public gives credit to for my success, and they’re usually right, but one person who definitely doesn’t get enough credit is Sonny.
She doesn’t ask for credit, she doesn’t complain, and she always puts me first.
If we are laughing or fighting, business is business, and the career always comes first.We support each other in every way imaginable, and both know what we signed up for.
I am very lucky to have someone in my personal life who can help access the board, both on and off the mats.Thanks for being you, Sonny.
