Today live from Tokyo, RIZIN announced a massive headliner bout between two megastars for RIZIN 14 on NYE during the first press conference for the show.
Tenshin Nasukawa will face Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The absolutely shocking fight will be dubbed a ‘Super Challenge’ bout. Both parties have agreed to fight each other on NYE, with rules currently being negotiated and finalized.
Tenshin has fought over thirty times despite turning 20 just over two months ago.
Even though there were hints Floyd will be headed to Japan several months ago, everyone seemed to get carried away with the possibility of Khabib Nurmagomedov match up.
“I know everybody heard about the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, but before the Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch I will be back in Tokyo for a huge boxing event. Stay tuned,” said Mayweather, who was wearing a baseball hat with “50-0” at the time
Tenshin has a rematch with Taiki Naito at RISE 129 later this month.
